Cerdon College High Tea

Srs Gail Reneker, Noelene Simmons and Kate McPhee were recently pleased to accept an invitation from Cerdon College, Merrylands to a ‘High Tea’ to be held at the school. Such an occasion is annually arranged to invite and so express appreciation to various groups of people who, during the year, have given in various ways service and support to the College.

As Marist Sisters, together with some SMSM sisters, one of whom is involved in pastoral care at the school, we were pleased to be included with all those present. The welcome and expression of thanks given by the Principal, and shown by other teachers, assured us all of the value that the College places on the involvement and assistance given by each group there.

The menu for the High Tea was arranged and prepared by those students currently studying the Hospitality and Food and Technology courses offered in the school’s Curriculum. There was no questioning of the girls doing extremely well in these courses! Several other students also showed their musical talents in the entertainment that we enjoyed during the afternoon.

All added up to a lovely afternoon for which we were grateful and where the Marist charism was experienced in so many ways.
