Season of Creation – Living Water
The Marist Family gathers to celebrate the gift of water and our call to care for our common home
Living Water
The theme for the Marist Family Season of Creation 2026 reflection was Living Water. Hosted by the SMJPIC (Marist Family Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Group), the gathering brought together over twenty members on 19 September at Holy Name of Mary Parish Hall, Hunters Hill.
There was a warm and lively spirit as participants gathered to listen, pray, reflect and share their thoughts on the precious gift of water and our responsibility to care for our common home.
Sr Grace Ellul sm, SMJPIC leader, welcomed everyone and opened the session together with Fr Paul Mahony sm. Through prayer, conversation and reflection, participants explored the many ways water sustains life and considered how we are called to protect and cherish this essential gift of creation.
The gathering offered a meaningful opportunity to connect faith with action, deepening our appreciation of water and renewing our commitment to care for our common home.
