The Fajikunda community organised a mini camp in early August, bringing together eleven young women for a time of fellowship, learning and meaningful activities.

One of the highlights of the camp was making rosaries. The rosaries were successfully sold, raising funds to support the work and activities of the Marist Laity. This creative activity gave the young women an opportunity to develop new skills while contributing to the wider community.

The community was also happy to welcome Fr Steve Youm, a Marist Father from Senegal. During his visit, he spent time with young men interested in learning more about the Marist Fathers and discerning a possible vocation. His presence was a great encouragement to the young people and provided an opportunity to learn more about Marist life and spirituality.

La communauté de Fajikunda a organisé un mini-camp au début du mois d’août, réunissant onze jeunes femmes pour un temps de partage, d’apprentissage et d’activités enrichissantes.

L’un des moments forts du camp a été la confection de chapelets. Ceux-ci ont été vendus avec succès, permettant de recueillir des fonds pour soutenir le travail et les activités des Laïcs Maristes. Cette activité créative a donné aux jeunes femmes l’occasion de développer de nouvelles compétences tout en contribuant à la communauté au sens large.

La communauté a également eu la joie d’accueillir le P. Steve Youm, Père Mariste du Sénégal. Au cours de sa visite, il a passé du temps avec de jeunes hommes désireux d’en apprendre davantage sur les Pères Maristes et de discerner un éventuel appel vocationnel. Sa présence a été un grand encouragement pour les jeunes et leur a permis de mieux découvrir la vie et la spiritualité maristes.
