Double Celebrations at Villa Maria

Celebrating our patronal feast on the 12th September alongside Sr. Teresa’s Platinum Jubilee was a double joy- filled blessing  for the Villa Maria Community.  Our Vicar for Religious, Abbot Hugh Allan O.Praem lifted hearts and voices as he celebrated our Mass and inspired us in his reflections on God’s choice of Mary; her ‘yes’; its’ consequences and our ‘yes’ – ‘by gracious choice’ to be Marist.

A delicious meal prepared by our kitchen staff followed, during which our jubilarian, Teresa, was adorned with a floral garland created by one of our staff and the jubilee cake, again the creation of our staff was enjoyed by all. The day finished as it had begun, in our little Chapel,  with a heartfelt memorare and thanksgiving to our ever loving God.  Ad multos Annos! Teresa!
