Walking Forward with Care and Hope

Unit Aotearoa New Zealand gathered together to discern their state of life and mission using the synodal approach of “Conversation with the Spirit”. This resulted with a “shared intention”. “We commit ourselves to a future shaped by gentleness, realism, and mutual support. We trust that God and Mary are already leading us, and we choose to move forward with directness and compassion. The recurring words during this time were “gradually” and “over time” .
We accepted Constitutions 52 as our inspiration and guide.
The bond which unites us is the love of Christ. Community is built up day by day through the efforts of each Sister to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and forgiveness.
Sensitive to the joys and sufferings of others, especially our sick and elderly Sisters, we shall treat one another with sincerity and humility, and thus, in spite of inevitable difficulties, achieve real unity.
