The Inauguration of the Apostolic Mission of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in Europe and the Installation of the Newly Appointed Apostolic Visitator, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Dr. Kuriakose Thadathil Ramban

Sr Rose sm from Birmingham shares with joy the wonderful news from the Syro-Malankara Catholic community. In September 2025, Pope Leo XIV appointed their Syro-Malankara Parish Priest, Rt Rev. Msgr Dr Kuriakose Thadathil, as Bishop and Apostolic Visitator for Europe.

The inauguration was held on Saturday, 6 December 2025, in Leicester. The joyful celebration was attended by clergy, religious, civic dignitaries, and ecumenical guests.

Sr Rose was privileged to attend this historic occasion, witnessing the warmth, faith, and dedication of the Syro-Malankara Catholic community in Europe. We rejoice with Bishop Kuriakose as he begins his ministry and hold him in our prayers as he shepherds the faithful across Europe.
