Sharing ‘Talanoa’ in the Marist Spirit

In mid-July, the Marist Sisters’ community in Lami, Fiji, visited the SMSM Sisters for a morning tea gathering. It was a joyful opportunity to renew friendships and share talanoa—the Pacific tradition of heartfelt conversation and attentive listening that builds relationships and community.

The gathering reflected the warmth of Pacific hospitality and the spirit of Mary, reminding us that simple encounters strengthen the bonds of faith, friendship, and our shared Marist mission. The Marist Sisters thank the SMSM Sisters for their warm welcome and generous hospitality.
