Celebrating in Ireland

Communities in Ireland celebrated the 200th anniversary of Jeanne-Marie Chavoin and Marie Jotillon in community in Cerdon, France in various aways.

In Tubbercurry  the community set the scene with a prayer focus in the chapel.  Items included in the prayer focus included an image of Mary, Jeanne-Marie Chavoin, old tongs and shovel, Congregational medals, candles for each Sister and symbols of Irish wisdom in the oak leaves plus the new life in the fruit acorns and horse chestnuts. A chair was left vacant for Sr Angela who was unable to join the community as she was recuperating from surgery.

The Carrick community revisited the video of Srs Sylvette Mane and Teri O’Brien sharing the beginning of our Marist Foundation.
