Pathways of Care
Serving with humility, presence, and love.
Sr Mary Duffy began part-time work as a Clinical Placement Coordinator with the Nursing Department of Hibernia College, Dublin, on 7th October 2024. Mary supervises and supports 8–10 nursing students on their specialist placements, e.g. Care of the Older Person, Community, and Psychiatric placements. These specialist placements range from 4–6 weeks.
In general, it is one visit per week; however, depending on the student’s duty and personal needs, Mary may need to visit them twice a week.

During these student visits there is an exchange of experiences, wisdom, new procedures, and pathways of care. Last but not least, there is the immense joy these student nurses receive in caring for people at a most vulnerable time in their lives.
