Celebrating 200 years since we began

Our sisters in Fiji gathered in Nadi to celebrate 200 years since the beginning of the first Marist community in France.

A beautiful liturgy was celebrated in the chapel where they remembered the sisters who had gone before them. Later they enjoyed a delicious lunch and continued to share stories of the early days in Fiji. Music and dancing concluded the celebration.

The sisters were delighted to receive the medals and bookmarks commemorating the beginnings of the first community in France, distributed by Sister Mari Aranda. Sister Mariana Tevuega thanked Sister Maria Aranda for the time she had spent in Fiji visiting the communities and gave her a gift of Fijian sulus to remember her time in Fiji.
