“The Best Days are Still to Come”

Unit Assembly at Mullaghmore

On Sunday 11th May all roads led to Mullaghmore where the Sisters in Ireland gathered for a time of rest, renewal and reflection.

Fr Hugh Lagan SMA accompanied them over these days, his input was based on “The Journey from Success to Significance”.

Through this theme he led us to explore and embrace our authentic selves using modern technology,  poetry, song and story. He also encouraged us to refresh our spirits for the years ahead on the next chapter of our Marist Journey.

During this time we celebrated the platinum jubilees of Srs Anne McCormack, Catherine Jordan and Rita Durkin and the diamond Jubilee of Sr Marie O’Reilly.

At the conclusion of our Unit Assembly 13th May, Feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, we changed our Status from a Unit with Canonical Authority to a Unit with Delegated Authority.

At the final Mass of our gathering we celebrated this change, closing a chapter but beginning another one on our journey through life.
