World Refugee Day June 20
The United Nations celebrates World Refugee Day on 20 June each year. This year it coincides with the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Like her Son, she has love enough for everyone and offers her mantle of protection to all comers.
Read below the statement of Pope Francis (in five languages) prepared for the Church's celebration of World Migrant and Refugee Day on 27 September.
Also from 20 June you will find here a statement (in four languages) made jointly by a number of international Faith-Based Organisations.
And a free E-Book from Global Sisters Report - Seeking Refuge - telling of the difficult journey of refugees and how Catholic sisters are helping along every stage.
There are good things happening!!!
