All roads led to this Mercy Centre on September 19^th and the Chapter of the Region of Atlantica
got off to a very good start on Sunday 21^st.

Our first day began with a prayer around a statue of our Lady
entrusting all to her as our first and perpetual superior.

We listened to and reflected on the report given by Sister Linda

on our mission and activities over the past six years.

The Sector Leaders gave us a very good insight into the Community life and mission in each Sector.

Sister Constance brought us up to date on all the financial issues of the Region.

During the Chapter we engaged in much discussion covering areas of Charism,

Spirituality, Mission, Ministry, Structure and Finance among other topics.

Some of this was carried out in groups followed by plenary sessions under the guidance of our Facilitator Sister Barbara IHM.

All was not work we also had some time out to relax, chat, walk and swim etc

One day was spent in down town Detroit and in Greenfield village where there was much to see and enjoy as we stepped back in history to give thanks
for the power of simple but very intelligent young men who have enabled us to travel the whole world and beyond!
