Giving Thanks for the Gift of Life!

On 24 January there was a celebration in Treviso, Italy for Sr Maria Cristina's 102nd birthday.  The day began with Mass in the chapel celebrated by Don Lucca.  M. Cristina renewed her vows.  Mass was followed by a breakfast of giant cornetti, from a locally famous pasticceria, and coffee.  Lunch concluded with a very tasty and beautifully decorated cake from the same shop.  This shop is normally closed on a Monday but the owner came to work specially to prepare these goodies for the celebration.

Throughout the day there were many phone calls and visitors and several gifts arrived in the mail prior to the event and some are still coming.
