The 40th anniversary of the arrival of the first Marist sisters in Mexico was celebrated in Ticomán, the “Centro de Proyección Politécnica” university parish of the Marist Fathers on 27th November.

Unfortunately few people were able to attend. But there were some remarkable people like Isabel del Castillo, who was one of the first Mexican novices, and one or two people representing the 8 chapels of that year, 1981.

It was with great joy that we met them and we hugged each other. Some of them got married and have children. It was a very simple Mass where those present found themselves in the same Marist spirit and charism.

Sisters Mari Aranda, Betza and the two young girls who are doing the "Come and see" experience: Saraí and Kayra attended the Mass. We were joined by another girl who lives on the hill of Chiquihuite. 

After the celebration, we went to give thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe in her "little house" in Tepeyac.
