Reflecting on the Season of Creation

The Marist Sisters in Fiji have been reflecting on the OIKOS OF GOD which is the universal theme for The Season of Creation  which began on September 1. We are called to for our common Earth. The Raiwaqa community have taken up the challenge in a number of ways - by planting and growing their own vegetables especially root crops, keeping our environment clean, and pot planting.

This display is from the Raiwaqa community.  Sr Rosemary Simon put it together and it hopefully depicts creation as it is at present.

Sr Rosemary writes

"As Bearers of Hope we believe creation as from the beginning of the world is still very much alive and vibrant. So many psalms sing of God’s praise in creation"

The chart on the right of the display depicts the devastating state of the earth….the natural and man -made destructive forces brought about through the effects of climate change. The ever constant presence of the corona virus. This pandemic is so widespread that so many have died and others still suffering.
