The International Marist Youth event is over...but the weaving continues...

Many thanks to Anne McCabe and Mari Aranda for keeping us connected through word and image.

This is how the event concluded:

The closing day brought us back to the God-shaped space we each have in our heart... and Gaby placed Mary .... who always leads us to Jesus .. into the hole around which each participant's coloured scarf had been woven. Also during the week each participant had woven a bracelet. These were offered to Mary.

The Gospel of the day was the Wedding Feast of Cana and we were each presented with a Cana jar containing the words ‘Do whatever he tells you’ in the various languages.

And so, as each one begins to leave this beautiful place in Guatemala, we are reminded that 'the weaving continues...’

With Mary, we sing: Magnificat!
