Marist Family Celebration in Via Aurelia

On 12 September, 60 Marists gathered at our General House. The Eucharist was celebrated in our commnity room - the main celebrant was Tony Corcoran sm who will soon return home to Australia as Provincial, following 12 years as secretary general. Tony was assisterd by Superior General John Larsen sm who gave an inspiring homily. Mass booklet is available here.

The occasion was enhanced by the launch of a new book on Fr Jean-Claude Colin. Written by Justin Taylor sm, it is entitled "Reluctant Founder". The publisher from Australia was present and so was the previous Superior General, John Hannan sm, whom we were delighted to see again. A copy of the book was presented to each of the congregational leaders - Ernesto Sanchez fms, Grace Ellul sm, Georgeanne Donovan smsm and John Larsen.

After the Book Launch everyone moved downstairs and outside for drinks before a sumptuous lunch which everyone enjoyed. The photos capture something of the great mix of Marists in attendance and the joy of the occasion.
