The second week of our programme began with three days of looking at our "Church Today" facilitated by Sylvette. Two days were spent in the house with discussions and new insights about our Catholic Church. On the third day we went to St Peter’s Square to attend the General Audience with the Pope. It was an awesome experience! We saw Pope Francis and it was very close!!! Oh, the excitement and the joy we experienced that day! In the afternoon we visited the church of St Clement and the Colosseum. We also visited the St Mary Major Basilica and St John Lateran Basilica.

These last two days, Viv led us in a Treasure Hunt back to our congregational roots, in the company of the Early Marists. Each of us journeyed back in time with one of the following - Jeanne-Marie Chavoin, Marie Jotillon, Jean-Claude Colin, Marcelllin Champagnat and Françoise Perroton. This helped to prepare us for our visit to our Places of Origin. We will leave for France on Monday 3rd September.
