June 6 - A Marist Family Celebration
The Marist Brothers' General House at Eur in Rome as always was the venue for the marking of St Marcellin's Feast Day. Members of the Marist Family gathered from near and far in the magnificent chapel for a joyous Eucharist with Alejandro Munoz sm presiding and Antonio Ramalho fms leading the singing. From the chapel the assembly moved to the Champagnat Room for an AV presentation of the Feast Day message from Emili Turu, Superior General of the Brothers - in which he made a strong link between the Fourvière Bicentenary and the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Following this the group was ushered into the dining room and sat at tables of six or seven. The spirit was one of great conviviality as old friendships were renewed and new ones begun. The Marist Family knows how to celebrate its heritage!
