The Marist Sisters around the world were united on 29^th August to celebrate the birthday of their Beloved Foundress. In Suva (Fiji), three communities – Raiwaqa, Lami and Tamavua gathered at the Unit House in Raiwaqa to celebrate with a Prayer Reflection on the life of Mother Foundress and shared afternoon-tea on this happy day.

Each community brought buns, pie and fruit to share and enjoy. We hadn’t seen each other since the pandemic lock-down so the room was full of joyful chats.  The room quietened down when we all focused on the picture of Mother Foundress and Nia led us in a beautiful prayer-reflection on the life of Mother Foundress. Each of us read some of her sayings. We were inspired and renewed once more by her simple, sincere loving way of life.  Thank you Nia, in leading us in this beautiful reflection.

The time went by very fast and it was time Lami and Tamavua communities to return home. The gathering was short but very joyful.
