Honouring the Strength of Migrant Women

On Saturday, March 7, Sister Joséphine Guèye, coordinator of Caritas PARI, organized a day marking International Women’s Rights Day around the theme: “Dignity and Rights of Migrant and Refugee Women.”

This gathering brought together around thirty women for a time of reflection, awareness, and sharing of experiences. The discussions highlighted that this day is above all a time to reflect on respect for women’s rights, particularly for those living in situations of migration or exile.

We warmly thank the lawyer Marina Kabou for her valuable presentation on the rights of migrant and refugee women in Senegal.

The testimonies, questions, and poems shared during the day highlighted the strength, dignity, and resilience of women beyond borders.
