Gathering of Young Marist Leaders
On the first weekend of May, around forty Marist student leaders from across New Zealand came together for a formation weekend focused on what it means to be a Marist servant leader. Representatives attended from the eight Catholic secondary schools founded by the Marist Fathers. Marist College, the only secondary school founded by the Marist Sisters, hosted the event, with six of its student leaders taking part.
The principals of all the Marist schools were also present, showing their strong support for this important initiative. Sisters Catherine Lawson and Seini Fatai had the opportunity to share stories and reflections with some of the student leaders, adding a personal and inspirational touch to the gathering.
