Celebration with the Marist Fathers
Anniversary of the birth of Jeanne-Marie Chavoin
On August 29, our Community in Davao celebrated the birthday of our Foundress Jeanne-Marie Chavoin with members of the “Cerdon” International Marist Fathers Novitiate Community.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the novice master, Fr Xavier Sariman sm who shares his birthday with the foundress.
“In a spirit of reverence and fraternity, both branches of the Society of Mary gave thanks for the gift of Jeanne-Marie Chavoin’s life and mission, whose charism continues to inspire the Marist Religious Life today.”
The celebration continued throughout the evening as they shared a meal and exchanged stories. It was truly an opportunity to strengthened the bonds between the two Marist communities.
