A Fond Farewell at Tupi

Since its founding, the Tupi community in Belo Horizonte had been served by the Jesuit Fathers, with whom we worked closely for 34 years. In the second half of last year, the Jesuits decided to hand the parish over to the Diocese, and they departed in March.

Father Donizete, the parish priest, came to bid farewell to the sisters. He had been actively involved with Cida in social outreach at the centre on the outskirts of the neighbourhood, and shared lunch with the sisters as they said their goodbyes.
